Taylor Swift is a fan of “dirty jokes” – despite cultivating a following largely regardless of her own sexuality.
The Delicate songstress pretty much left sex and booze out of her song lyrics until her album Reputation, despite a reference to a “wine stained dress” in her 1989 track Clean. Tracks like Getaway Car, London Boy and Gorgeous feature plenty of alcohol references… and Tay has even snuck some sex quips in there.
Her track Lover features the lyric: “And you’ll save all your dirtiest jokes for me,” while in Maroon, Tay sings: “‘How’d we end up on the floor, anyway?’ You say. Your roommate’s cheap-a** screw-top rosé, that’s how.” The track continues with lines like “the mark they saw on my collarbone” and “The lips I used to call home… so scarlet it was maroon.”

Lately, with Taylor growing closer to NFL star Travis Kelce, fans have been busy spotting “secret sex signs” exchanged between the pair. But one cruel sex tape joke had Taylor’s pals rushing to defend her.
Daily Star takes a look into what Taylor herself has said about sex in the past.
‘First time’
Swifties are convinced they’ve discovered a message about Taylor’s virginity in her own song lyrics. In All Too Well, Taylor is assumed to be singing about her age-gap romance with ex Jake Gyllenhaal, who was nine years her senior.
The lyrics see Taylor repeatedly mention a red song, with the motif also used in her accompanying music video. She sings: “But you keep my old scarf from that very first week / ‘Cause it reminds you of innocence.” Along with: “I left my scarf there at your sister’s house / And you’ve still got it in your drawer even now.”
Fans think the scarf is alluding to Taylor’s virginity – something she “can’t get back” and “reminds her of innocence”. Writing on social media, one penned: “I do not care what anyone tells me I’ll always believe that the scarf represents Taylor’s virginity.”
Another added: “The scarf Taylor was talking about in All Too Well was her virginity and in this essay I will.”
Joe’s sex scenes
Before she broke up with British actor Joe Alwyn, Taylor was a “big fan” of his steamy sex scenes while starring in projects like the movie Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk. In that 2017 film, Joe was involved in a steamy love-making scene with co-star Makenzie Leigh.
The naked pair could be seen romping in bed together concealed only by a strategically placed sheet. In 2022, he got undressed for another sex scene in Conversations with Friends – and said Taylor was a fan.
Speaking to The Guardian, Joe revealed: “We were guided through it with an intimacy coordinator, Ita O’Brien, who is great. They’re essentially choreographed. So they’re like fight scenes. They’re quite mechanical. And obviously they’re weird, funny, strange things to do with your friends.
“But when [director Lenny Abrahamson] is in the room, cracking jokes, and there’s 10 crew members around, and it’s freezing cold or boiling hot, it just takes all the sexiness out of it.”
Asked what Taylor’s reaction was to the steamy scenes, he told Extra TV: “She couldn’t be a bigger fan of the project. I mean she’s read the book and she loves the book so she knows.”
Secret sex signs
According to the Mirror, Taylor was spotted enjoying a ‘secret sex sign’ with her boyfriend Travis – exposed in a TikTok video. The pair could be seen holding hands, and in one zoomed in shot Travis appeared to be “tickling” her palm.
Body language expert Judi James told the publication: “Well she’s confident enough to not need any calming techniques and she always loves the attention a new high-profile man brings so I’d suggest this is actually more of a flirty, sexual signal.”
“He’s all about being the perfect gentleman here but this secret tickling of one of the more delicate parts of the body would be like a secret sexy signal to her.”
‘Open to anything’
When Taylor was dating EDM star Calvin Harris, sources claimed the pair “couldn’t keep their hands off each other”. They told Hollywood Life: “[Calvin] comes over and they will stay up talking, and may even start watching a movie–but things get steamy pretty quickly.
“Neither one of them are getting much sleep as they stay up till 4, 5 in the morning getting it on. If they don’t have work they sleep in, eat, and then go at it some more.”
The insider then claimed: “She even has crazy sex fantasies about him when they are apart. To be honest, she is open to doing things she has never done before because Calvin makes her feel so safe.”
Sex tape row
The host of a popular sports podcast went viral for all the wrong reasons when he demanded to see Taylor and Travis’ sex tape – sparking outrage across Hollywood and the media. Barstool Sports host Dan Katz and Eric Sollenberger made several sexist remarks when it came to Taylor.
They claimed her recent appearances at Kansas City Chiefs games were a “distraction”, and branded her “bad for football”. They said: “If there was going to be a distraction, it would probably be the most famous person in the world dating your tight end.
“Taylor Swift is a problem for the NFL. We have to unite as a group of fans. We can’t let this happen. She’s got to stop going to games. She’s bad for football.”
When Katz joked later that the New York Jets had scored “every single way this game”, Sollenberger said: “That’s what they should call Taylor Swift’s vagina.”

Katz later wrote on Twitter: “If Taylor Swift is going to be taking over our Sundays I’m going to need to see a sex tape. These are my demands.” He then said: “Until that happens I think it’s fake, I think it’s for clicks, and I think Taylor Swift is using the NFL to make her star bigger.”
Hunger Games star Rachel Zegler was one of the first to jump in to defend Taylor, fuming: “It’s not news that the media is particularly (and unwarrantedly) cruel to Taylor Swift but the way men feel entitled to speak about women, their bodies, and their sex lives needs to be seriously evaluated.”
Another fan fumed: “This is beyond sexism, misogyny and chauvinism… you’re a disgusting human being.” While someone else penned: “Remember, all she has done is go to a football game. Women can’t do s**t without dudes making it gross.”
