This Morning pulled off air early in ITV schedule shake-up as Loose Women cancelled

This Morning has been pulled off air 15 minutes early to make way for an ITV News special.

The ITV1 daytime show finished at 12.15pm on Wednesday (March 15) instead of the its usual time of 12.30pm.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield explained that the programme was making way for The Chancellor’s Budget 2023.

The ITV News special will air until 1.50pm and be followed by ITV Racing: Cheltenham Festival Live at 2pm.

Fans of the racing do not need to worry about missing the opening races as the show will be on ITV4 from 1pm until 2.05pm.

The latest ITV shake-up comes as Loose Women was taken off air for the rest of the week.

Ruth Langsford announced during Monday’s (March 13) programme that the ITV1 daytime show will not be back on air until the following week.

She told viewers at home: “We are off for the rest of the week because of the racing at Cheltenham.”

Fans now have to wait until Monday, March 20 for their next Loose Women fix.

Speaking of the show’s return, Ruth added: “We will be back next Monday. I know it’s a shame, but we will see you then.”

Cheltenham Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse will be airing on ITV1 until Friday, March 17.

This Morning will remain on air in their usual slot all week but instead of handing over to the Loose ladies they will hand over to ITV news team for the lunchtime news and weather.

Then the regional news will be on air for just 10 minutes before live coverage from Cheltenham kicks off.

Ed Chamberlin will present the live show throughout the week and he will be joined by well known faces from the racing world.

Tipping Point: Best Ever Finals will then air at 4:30pm bringing the racing to an end for the day.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 10am
