This Morning ‘to undergo rebrand’ in huge ITV show shake-up after Phillip Schofield exit

This Morning could undergo a “mini rebrand” later this year with “new presenters”.

Phillip Schofield has stepped down from this role as one of the main hosts of the ITV daytime show after over two decades.

It has been confirmed that Holly Willoughby will continue to present the programme with members of the This Morning family.

She told Daily Star: “I think that the show is going for a change and even a mini rebrand when September comes around.

“This could mean new morning presenters and even the Summer staff maybe moving into the full time role.

“I feel that once the Summer line-up is announced an official statement will be out to confirm and acknowledge.

Phillip fronted the award-winning show since 2002 but announced his decision to step down from This Morning on May 20 in a shock statement.

He said: “I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.

“Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.

“I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.”
