This Morning's Holly Willoughby flees ITV studio 'half-dressed' as building evacuated

Holly Willoughby was forced to vacate the Dancing on Ice studio ‘half-dressed’ after a fire scare.

The presenter, 41, still had her hair rollers in her hair when she had to leave the ITV building and stand outside in the cold.

Rehearsals were interrupted and stars had to line up outside the studio until the coast was clear.

Show officials have confirmed the cause of the evacuation was some curling tongs.

The show’s creative director Dan Whiston told The Sun: “Last weekend, the entire Dancing on Ice cast, production, and crew had to evacuate the studio after a fire alarm went off.

“Many of the celebrities, including Holly, had to brave the cold weather outside whilst safety checks were carried out.

“The alarm sounded, and everyone sped outside into the car park. We were mid-preparation when it happened, so quite a few of us weren’t even fully dressed, and Holly still had her hair rollers in.

“Luckily it turned out to be a false alarm triggered by some curling tongs… but you could say it was a bit of a hairy situation for a while.”

TV host Holly presents Dancing On Ice alongside her co-host Phillip Schofield, 60, who she also stars on This Morning with.

The stars presented the skating programme from 2006 to 2011 and returned to host it again from 2018 up until now.

Also returning to the show this year are judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and ex-Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse.

On Sunday’s show (January 29), the show’s remaining celebrity contestants took to the ice for a second week to try and impress the ITV judging panel and audience at home.

However, a shocking twist in the evening’s proceedings meant that there would be no final skate-off during the programme.

This meant that the hopefuls were mainly left at the mercy of the judges’ official scores.

Liberty X’s Michelle Heaton scored the lowest numbers of the night which meant she was the latest star to leave the competition.

Dancing on Ice returns next week on ITV.
