Tipping Point fans fume over ‘ginger whinger’ who sparks feud with rival player

Tipping Point fans have slammed a red-headed player as a “ginger whinger” after he made a cheeky move during one of his turns.

Host Ben Shephard returned to the helm of the ITV2 show on Thursday (August 3), welcoming four new players all vying to win a huge cash prize.

As the contestants began battling it out on the coin machine, it was Doctor Harry from Exeter that caught viewers’ eye, with one fan dubbing him the cheeky nickname and other saying “he’s not listening” to the host.

As fans will know, players can choose to play their counter or pass to another player during the first round if they answer a question correctly.

After Harry scored a correct answer, he landed a huge lead, but passed one of his counters to rival player Gary, who was trailing behind him.

He then repeated the move, leaving Gary in the dust, and when facing his rapid fire Q&A with Ben, he continually interrupted him, leaving fans irked.

“He’s not listening Ben he just wants to get the counters,” blasted one fan.

“Anyone else getting annoying backstabber vibes from Harry?” asked another, with a third replying, dubbing him a “ginger whinger”.

Both Gary, a retired police officer from Lichfield, and Harry made it to the final two, with many fans dubbing it a “duel”.

“Gary vs Harry is the ultimate duel. Both very intelligent,” one said.

Another wrote: “Why do I feel like these 2 mean business with one another?!”

Harry managed to maintain his lead over Gary as they saw off rival contestants Sharon and Shobana in the previous rounds.

Despite his best efforts, Gary was unable to catch Harry’s impressive lead, leaving him booted off and trailing by a whopping £700, sending Dr Harry into the final.

He managed to also snag two mystery prizes including a luxury break to Corwnall and picnic concert tickets.

But the lucky player soon showed viewers what he was made of when he stunning landed the £10K jackpot counter after accepting a risky trade at the end of the final.

Claiming he promised his finance Ella wouldn’t take the trade, he said he was “relieved” and “delighted.”

“Well done Harry, great gamble! I hope Ella’s happy,” said oen fan.
