Tipping Point fans rush to complain as they blast 'awful' mystery prize

Tipping Point’s latest mystery prize caused a stir among fans, who were left scratching their heads at the “rubbish” reward.

On tonight’s (March 22) episode of the popular ITV quiz show, host Ben Shephard introduced four new players – Fiona, Jordon, Lynne, and Tony – who all hoped to take on the machine and walk away with some serious cash.

But it was Fiona’s prize that left viewers in disbelief, after she won a “six-month supply of pasta”.

“What a crap mystery prize,” said another, while a third penned: “Oh for fu**’s sake, now THIS as a mystery prize?! They’re well out of ideas! #TippingPoint”

Despite a brave effort, Fiona was booted off the show in third place, with Lynne and Tony left battling it out for a spot in the final.

Tony impressed with his general knowledge and soared into the final, taking home a £3k cash prize.

The show has often been blasted for its lackluster mystery prizes.

On a recent episode, player Hayley was delighted after she earned herself a mystery prize as the rare counter fell out – leaving her with a new Slush Puppie machine.

“You got your hands on a mystery prize, which is a slushy maker!” said host Ben Shephard.

Hayley was very thankful, telling Ben: “I so wanted one! Thank you!”

Tipping Point fans, however, branded the prize as “poor” compared to previous prizes handed out on the show.

Alongside an array of angry-faced emojis, one person penned: “Imagine getting happy about a mystery prize and then you find out it’s a slush machine. Christ!”

Echoing their comments, someone else said: “ITV have had an absolute shocker there. A slush machine as a prize? Utterly useless!”

While a third remarked: “A f***ing slushl maker – really? What a s*** prize that is!”

And Just last month, contestant Foluke won a three-night family glamping trip with Atlantic Surf Pods.

One disgruntled viewer posted: “S*** mystery prize klaxon. What a shocker!”
