Tom Sandoval turns 40 years old today (July 7) and after a year of controversy and scandal, we are sure he will be happy to see in a new year.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, It was the cheating scandal that broke the internet.
Tom and Ariana Madix, stars of the Bravo reality television show Vanderpump Rules who were a couple for nine years, split after Tom had an affair with their co-star Raquel Leviss.

But as fans will know, this isn’t the only controversy that the cast of the beloved show have been wrapped up in.

Racism claims

Vanderpump star Stassi Schroeder got fired in 2018 for racial misconduct.
In an interview on the Tamron Hall Show, Stassi took responsibility for calling the police in 2018 and reporting fellow cast mate Faith Stowers as resembling a woman wanted for theft.
Schroeder and cast mate Kristen Doute were fired after Stowers talked about the incident in an interview that went viral.
Asked if she understood the ramifications of those actions, Schroeder said” “I do absolutely understand. I’ve spent the last three months working with a teacher and learning about everything.

“And there was so much that I didn’t know.
“I didn’t understand that just because something wasn’t about race for me, doesn’t mean it’s not about race for the other person because I’m bringing my experience as a White privileged woman to this situation and she’s bringing her experience as a Black woman into this situation.
“And because it’s about race for her, it is about race. And that’s something that I’ve realised.”
Sunglasses theft

Jax Taylor narrowly avoided prison time after he “stole some sunglasses when he was drunk”.
He told the court: “I just want to apologise to the court and to the state, again I had too many drinks, too many mai tais. I made a mistake, took full responsibility and I understand this is going to follow me the rest of my life due to the fact that I’m on television.
“So I just want to say I’m sorry and I apologise.”
His apology and deal with prosecutors meant the star’s felony charge – as the sunglasses were so expensive – was downgraded and he would not face jail.
Instead, the star was sentenced to 364 days of probation.
Dramatic slap

Earlier this year Lisa Vanderpump revealed she thought Scheana Shay hit Raquel Leviss after finding out about her longtime affair with Tom Sandoval.
Raquel filed a restraining order against Shay alleging that Shay punched her in the face and shoved her against a brick wall following a taping of Watch What Happens Live in New York City.
She said: “Yeah, I think she did. I think she slapped her around the chops.
“But you know what, her feelings would be running really high because Ariana was her best friend for like 12 years.”
While Scheana has denied slapping Raquel, fans remember Stassi smacking Kristen during one particularly heated argument.
