Festival season is in full swing, and the world-famous Glastonbury has finally opened its gates.
Those heading to the Somerset weekender are already on their way, but they might want to double check they’ve packed a refillable water bottle. A price list for drinks at Glastonbury was shared online, and a 330ml can of water will cost punters a whopping £2.50.
Shockingly, alcoholic drinks are less than £1 more expensive. Of course, there are points to fill up on water around the site, but anyone finding themselves gasping for a drink may end up getting stung.

But for those not heading to Glastonbury, or who want to spend their money on something more exciting, Daily Star has rounded up a list of six things you can buy for the same price as a can of water.
Sex toy
Maybe not the most exciting or pleasurable sex toy available, but Poundland has a range of budget-friendly buzzers. Whether it’s a £1 vibrating bullet or a £1 vibrating love ring, there’s an option for everybody.
The super-saver sex toys launched in 2020 and of course there are slightly more expensive options for someone wanting more. So when you’re at the bar asking for water, you might want to re-think.
Clothes owned by Katie Price
Katie Price is one of many celebrities who flog their old clothes online. Katie has sold a ton in the past, from leisurewear to fancy heels.
But as a mum-of-five growing kids, she’s also flogged their old stuff. A quick look at her Depop, which currently doesn’t have anything for sale, shows a few items were sold for just £2.40.
So, water, or clothing touched by one of the world’s most famous glamour models?
A bus trip around London
One of those fancy open-top bus tours will set you back a fair whack, but if you want some sight-seeing fun on a budget, you’re in luck. The pay-as-you-go adult rate for the “Hopper” fare is just £1.75.
But for that £1.75, you can make unlimited journeys within one hour of touching in, as long as you use the same card. Plan it right, to avoid traffic, and you could see all the major central London sights for less than two quid!
250 penny sweets
Yes, inflation is very real, and things like Freddo bars have skyrocketed from 10p to around 50p. But find yourself a classic sweet shop and you could get a stash that could last you at least a few days.
Fizzy bottles, gummy bears, whatever you fancy, save that £2.50 you’d spend on water at Glastonbury for something much sweeter instead.
A five pack of socks
Something that festivalgoers will no doubt need as much as water is socks. Weather forecasters have warned of showers over the weekend, so some may need to pick up some extra socks in case of emergencies.
And they’d be in luck, as Primark sells packs of five “value socks” for £2, or a five pack of trainer socks for £2.50.
A McDonald’s meal
It might not fill you up as much as a Big Mac meal, but for less than £2.50 you can get a quick bite from Maccies. A classic hamburger and fries will set you back just under £2.40.
But if you want something fancier, a Bacon Mayo Chicken costs £1.99, a Mayo Chicken is £1.39, or a double cheeseburger is £2.29. Or, if you want something healthier, a side salad is just £1.09.
