The hotly-awaited big reveal of the first celebrities appearing on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing will be announced on Monday, August 5.
After weeks of rumours dogging the popular dance series, ITV’s This Morning has taken to its official Instagram account, hinting at what’s in store for Monday’s show – and has shared the fact it will be unveiling two of the 2024 celebrity dancers.
Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle will be helming the show, featuring John Torode’s sizzling summer recipe, Nadine Baggott’s top beauty steals from the supermarket aisles – and the identities of two celebrities joining Strictly will be unveiled, reports WalesOnline.

It’s not known if the show will be announcing the first two celebs of the series or if others will be revealed through various media outlets in the run-up to the ITV daytime show starting at 10am.
Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, among the rumoured Strictly 2024 line-up so far are Nick Knowles of DIY SOS fame, Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri and ex-rugby star Danny Cipriani.

It comes after Strictly received a string of allegations in recent weeks including bullying claims from actress Amanda Abbington against pro-dancer Giovanni Pernice, who has refuted the claims and has since left the show. He was followed by his colleague Graziano Di Prima after a BBC probe into how he treated celeb partner Zara McDermott.
The BBC issued a statement last month, declaring: “The BBC is today announcing additional steps to strengthen welfare and support on Strictly Come Dancing. Concerns that have arisen in recent months have been fundamentally about training and rehearsals. The actions we announce today are designed to address that.”
