Clarkson’s Farm’s Kaleb Cooper admits ‘it’s going be rough’ in series four update

Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper has told fans the upcoming season is “going to be rough” to watch.

The show has found success on Amazon Prime Video and follows the adventures of former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson as he adapts to country life on his farm Diddly Squat. Throughout the show, he has been joined by a number of farm hands helping to guide him through the seasons, as he fights to turn a profit.

With the third series of the show well and truly over, filming for the programme’s fourth season is already well underway. However, fan favourite Kaleb has told viewers that this time around, the show will be particularly tough to get through.

Cooper, 26, is best known for his critical role on the former Top Gear presenter’s farm. With Kaleb acting as Jeremy’s right-hand-man, Cooper has been instrumental to the success of the 1,000 acre farm in Chipping Norton.

But now, the loveable farmer has warned fans of a rather messy year, after the show has previously dealt with council arguments, the deaths of his animals and his farm shop proving to be too popular. For the upcoming series, nature itself might be proving to be an issue – as hinted by the farmhand.

Torrential rain has battered the UK during the summer of 2024, and Clarkson’s farm has not been spared, as the rain wrecked havoc on their crops and livestock. As a result, the farm is in grave danger as it struggles to successfully cultivate and grow a new set of crops.

In a post uploaded to his Instagram story, Kaleb told fans that this may be a particularly gut-wrenching season to watch, admitting they have had a tough time filming. “I can sense this being an interesting and difficult season!” he penned.

“We really don’t need this rain in July after the winter we had, he added, before signing off with a facepalm emoji. However, this is not the first sign of a bleak year for the Oxfordshire farm, as the shop’s official social media platforms gave a meagre update in June, complaining of the incessant rain.

On the shop’s official account, a snap of Diddly Squat completely submerged in water was uploaded for fans to see. Writing in the caption, the account said: “It’s going to be a rough year. All that seed sowed, drowned with the constant rain.”

As a result of the torrential rain, Kaleb got into the nitty-gritty with fans, sharing some of the ways the farm might struggle. This includes being unable to use high tractors to turn over land and generate crop growth due to the slippery ground.

It is clear that the constant rain is affecting the farm and its workers. In the clip, Kaleb became frustrated – raising his voice to shout: “It’s so wet! How much more rain can we have?!”

Clarkson’s Farm is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
