Coleen Rooney ‘setting rules’ for hubby Wayne ahead of I’m A Celebrity stint

Coleen Rooney has reportedly “set rules” that husband Wayne must follow while she’s on I’m A Celeb.

The former WAG, 38, is gearing up for her new TV stint as she prepares to head into the jungle for the ITV reality show. However, while she is finalising her plans, she has also been keen to make sure Wayne is okay.

Plymouth Argyle manager Wayne, 39, has been busy looking after his team, and Coleen wants to make sure that he does not get up to anything bad while she is away. This is said to involve having someone check in with him to make sure he is doing okay.

It comes after the former Manchester United forward was famed for getting himself into trouble whilst childhood sweetheart Coleen was not around. Now, speaking to the Sun, a source close to the star is saying friends and family are being roped in.

“Everyone close to Coleen is very aware of what has gone on in the past, and will be staying in close contact with Wayne while she’s away,” the insider said. “His football schedule means he can’t fly out to join her so he’ll be watching it from Plymouth.”

The source added: “The family want nothing to spoil Coleen’s experience on the show and they’re making it their business to ensure it can’t. Everyone will be checking in on Wayne and, as a family, they’ll be cheering her on to the final.”

Coleen’s family are now on red alert in case Wayne does something that could potentially ruin her stint Down Under. This is set to be the fashionista’s first go at reality TV, with her hoping to endear herself to the nation to become the Queen of the Jungle.

However, one person who will be eagerly watching Coleen’s time in the jungle is Rebekah Vardy. The fellow WAG has been keen to stress she will not tolerate discussion of the legal drama that surrounded the pair over the past five years.

Issues between the two first broke to the public in 2019, when Coleen famously revealed Rebekah’s account had been responsible for leaking stories about her to the press. Rebekah herself was left fuming by the accusation and sued Coleen for libel.

As the pair went to court, the case – dubbed “Wagatha Christie” – garnered huge attention from the press and fans of both alike. The case was heard in May of 2022, but after two months of evidence, the judge dismissed Rebekah’s claim and ordered her to pay for Rooney’s legal expenses, as well as her own – which totalled almost £3million.

Since then, it’s claimed Rebekah has said that she will “reignite” the feud if she uses the phrase “Wagatha Christie”. The footballer’s wife has reportedly told her lawyers to “keep an eye” on the show in case she mentions the phrase, which Rebekah reportedly trademarked.
