Coronation Street legend ‘heading for prison’ after villain’s ominous warning

Coronation Street icon Kevin Webster lost his temper and attacked Stefan Brent during Monday’s episode of the ITV soap (June 24). The mechanic tried desperately to help his wife, however he may have made the situation worse when he resorted to violence.

Abi Webster has been left devastated after deepfake pornographic videos of her were circulated. After doing some digging, she threatened the documentary’s production company after discovering Stefan had a prominent position on the board of the producers.

Kevin then hatched a plan to prove that Stefan was the one behind the revenge porn. He got Bethany to hand over her work pass at Stefan’s magazine and broke into his office to steal his phone.

But after the incident, Stefan sent CCTV footage over to the garage showing Kevin rummaging around the building. Kevin tried to make a deal with Stefan once they found evidence on the phone, but on Monday they were told the deal was off.

Stefan told Kevin: “I had a quote from the reputation firm and it will cost upwards of £60k per year to keep those videos from circulating. So I’m not prepared to pay that.”

Kevin frantically replied: “You can’t do this”, as Stefan then made a brutal dig about Abi. This sparked fury in Kevin and as a result, he took a huge swing at his rival which knocked him back on his desk. Stefan managed to get back up to his feet and he let out a snigger.

“Well done Kevin, you have just added an assault to the charge sheet. That’s two good reasons why you should crawl back into your little hole”, Stefan stated before warning: “Or go to prison.”

Kevin was left nursing his hand with frozen peas as Abi went ballistic at her partner for potentially making things far worse. In the end, she went to the office herself to confront Stefan once more as she tried to get Kevin off the hook.

Abi made a deal with Stefan who promised not to repay her in reputation damages for the deepfake videos. However, she promised to ‘destroy’ him and ‘bring him down’ and even all his relatives if he came near her again.

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
