Coronation Street Toyah’s shock bombshell ‘revealed’ – and ‘she’s not pregnant’

Coronation Street fans have ‘worked out’ what Toyah Battersby’s big bombshell is – and she’s not pregnant.

The soap character, played by Georgia Taylor, has had a rather dramatic few months. Her sister Leanne (Jane Danson) is involved in a mysterious “self-improvement group” The Institute – led by the sinister Rowan Cunliffe (Emhrys Cooper).

What’s more, earlier this year it was revealed that Toyah had a baby when she was just 19-years-old. Sadly, the child was stillborn and Toyah buried the body on the red rec.

Toyah confessed to Leanne and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) – but was arrested recently after someone tipped her off to the police and they discovered the baby, Rose’s remains.

She was ultimately released and not charged – but it was pretty clear who made the phone call to the cops: Rowan. As well as that, Toyah has also been hiding her secret affair with Nick from her sister.

However, over in the soap next week, things take a more dramatic turn when Toyah complains of stomach pains. Nick returns home and is shocked to find her in agony on the floor.

She gets rushed to hospital next week

He takes her to the hospital and as he and Leanne wait at her bedside the doctor has some shocking news. Still in shock after the doctor’s first bombshell Toyah is left reeling when he drops another unexpected piece of news.

Now, fans reckon they have sussed out what Toyah’s bombshell is. And while many think she will be pregnant with Nick’s baby, others fear something more heartbreaking could be in store for the soap legend.

Over on a Facebook fan page, fans reacted to a post about Toyah’s bombshell news. Rushing to the comments section, plenty shared their thoughts that Toyah could actually be “seriously ill.”

One person said: “don’t think she’s pregnant.” Someone else added: “To soon to know if pregnant. Possibly Cancer.” A third added: “I don’t think she’s pregnant think she’s seriously ill.” Another chimed in and agreed: “Same here.”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
