Coronation Street fans reckon soap killer Rob Donovan could be heading back on the soap in a huge twist.
The character, played by Marc Bayliss, hasn’t been seen on screens since April 2017 from behind bars. He first made his soap debut back in July 2012 – looking for his sister Carla Connor (Alison King).
Rob soon became a firm favourite with viewers and was involved in several big storylines over the years. Fans will recall how in 2014 he murdered Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan).

In Monday’s episode (February 12) residents Rita Tanner and Mary Taylor are shocked to learn that Bobby is Roy’s son. Determined to find out the truth about his dad, he asked his aunty Carla to reveal all.
When she told him his dad killed Tina in cold-blood Bobby was stunned. Rob had lied to him and told him he had murdered Tina in self-defence.
Now fans reckon a return is on the cards for Rob. Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “All these mentions of Rob lately. Is a possible return on the cards?”
Someone else added: “Wouldn’t be surprised if rob returns soon.” A third quipped: “Rob killed one of the fittest women in the Street’s history, Bobby,” alongside a GIF of Michelle Keegan. Another chimed in and wrote: “Bring him back!”
