Helen Flanagan has hit back at trolls after she was cruelly mocked for her lips.
Former Coronation Street star Helen, 34, took to her social media to blast critics claiming her face looked “silly” after the treatment. As she laid down the law, she showed off her plump lips once again as she insisted she was happy with her new look.
Uploading a snap of herself getting ready to hit the town for a night out, the I’m A Celebrity icon added some lip liner to her glossy lips to add a bit of shimmer to her ensemble. Writing in the caption, Helen beamed with smiles as she explained: ” Christmas do in Liverpool, so let’s go glam.”

Some fans didn’t seem to like her latest cosmetic treatment, with many asking what had she done to her mouth as it looked rather strange. One fan was concerned, asking: “Your lip liner looks a little strange, like smudged? Still, looking stunning.”

Other users pleaded with Helen to hold off on using lip filler as she was beautiful enough as she was. One user penned: “Oh please Helen, leave the lip filler alone – you’re a beautiful young lady who doesn’t need to pump that crap into your face.”
A second added: “Leave your lips alone, whatever you’ve done, don’t do it again, looks silly.” However, fed up of trying to please people, actress Helen broke her silence and hopped into the comments section as she refused to bow down to silly opinions.
“I never understand why people can be so mean,” she explained, followed by a kiss. “It doesn’t actually matter how someone looks; if you’ve got a good heart, you’re beautiful anyway.”
The Celebs Go Dating star was not only inundated with messages of concern, but other fans were thrilled to see her looking her best and showered her in compliments. Helen herself was also happy with her look as she geared up to paint the town red.
However, not even her close family and friends were particularly bowled over by the star’s fashion for the Christmas outing. “Felt so nice in this outfit and then my bf said I looked like a crow,” she joked.
Sporting a dark black corset top, Helen put it all on show as she donned sparkly black skirt and a matching jacket that gave her a seductive look. Adding a pair of petite black heels and a red handbag for a splash of colour, the soap star soon hit the Scouse city for a cheeky drink or two.
It comes after Helen admitted she would not mind making a return to Weatherfield as her iconic role of Rosie Webster, after she was last seen on the show in 2018. Speaking to The Sun newspaper however, the star admitted there was something stopping her from going all the way and making a full return.
“I would absolutely love to go back to Coronation Street,” she beamed. “I live now where I did growing up and I’ve moved around so much, you know, with my ex, football and stuff, so I’m back.
“But to be able to do Coronation Street, they would have to ask me back, she added. “Also if I went back and stuff, I’d want to be in a good storyline and what have you.”
