Cut-throat streamers cry ‘tasteless’ as arguments break over iconic Netflix show

The internet has been divided by one legendary Netflix series.

Over in the Netflix Bangers group on Facebook, one person posted: “Money Heist very boring,” followed by thumbs down and sad face emojis. This caused chaos in the comment section as loyal Netflix fans rushed to defend the popular show.

Someone called the original poster “mad” as another person boasted: “It’s awesome [sunglasses emoji] I watch[ed] 3 time[s].” One Money Heist fan gushed that the series “should have been a movie franchise like Ocean[‘s]”.

“Not for the i[m]patient. Great story line and acting. Has a bit of everything, comedy, action, drama, suspense etc. I loved it and wish there was more to watch,” quipped one series fan. Another savage comment read: “Tasteless people,” aimed toward the naysayers.

Money Heist is one of the streaming platform’s most popular shows

However, someone agreed with the critical comment and wrote: “Hyped. Not good. Overrated!,” as another said: “That show sucks.” Many comments even read “true,” “agree” and “indeed” as dedicated Money Heist fans fought to change their minds.

“Stop it! One of the best shows,” scathed someone else. Money Heist is a drama thriller series that was first released back in 2017.

Fans gathered online to defend – and also attack – the series

The show ran for five seasons and stars Alvaro Morte, Ursula Corbero, Pedro Alonso, Itziar Ituno, Alba Flores, Miguel Herran, Jaime Lorente, Esther Acebo, Darko Peric, Maria Pedraza and Najwa Nimri among many others in the huge ensemble cast.

The IMDb description for the show reads: “An unusual group of robbers attempt to carry out the most perfect robbery in Spanish history – stealing 2.4 billion euros from the Royal Mint of Spain.”

The show has won multiple awards

The crime series, which clearly has many Netflix fans totally hooked, won Best Drama at the International Emmy Awards. Money Heist was filmed in Spanish and is officially called La Casa De Papel, which translates to The House of Paper.

Money Heist is told from the perspective of one of the robbers, Tokyo, as The Professor gears up to lead two huge heists on the Royal Mint of Spain and the Bank of Spain.
