Danny Dyer has been snapped shooting his new movie Christmas Karma with The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar.
The EastEnders legend is sharing the screen with Kunal, Desperate Housewives beauty Eva Longoria and Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville in the festive flick, which is a modern Bollywood musical inspired by Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. First look images showed Danny filming scenes with Kunal, with the Mick Carter star in jeans, a cap and a jumper covered with snowflakes.
Kunal was clad in a long dressing gown – with a winter coat over it – and matching dark blue slippers. He was looking baffled as Danny handed him a DVD of The Business, his most successful film, apparently as a Christmas present.

Danny, 46, was also seen behind the wheel of his black cab and sharing laughs off camera with the film’s director Gurinder Chadha. Other images someone dressed up like a ghost in black rags and another actor hiding inside a pink and white tinsel Christmas tree.
Kunal is playing the Scrooge character in the festive movie, which will also feature the likes of Boy George, Billy Porter, Pixie Lott, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Rufus Jones, Eve and Nitin Ganatra. Commenting on X when she announced the film, Bend It Like Beckham director Gurinder revealed that she was hoping to make a movie that really stood the test of time.
“Just as I have enjoyed Frank Capra’s It’s A Wonderful Life for many years, my aim with Christmas Karma is to create a festive classic for our times and for generations to come,” she said. “By adapting one of history’s greatest novels – Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol – I am making a British film from my unique, original point of view but one that resonates with Dickens’ masterful statement on the human condition.”
She added that she felt “blessed” with the cast and the music team, which includes Gary Barlow as one of the writers. The filmmaker said the soundtrack would be influenced by gospel, bhangra, carols and classic pop songs and promised viewers that it would be “banging”. “You will not be able to sit still,” she predicted.
