Davina McCall has been left gobsmacked after a routine health check revealed a brain tumour.
The 57 year old Masked Singer star is set to undergo surgery today to remove the 14mm non-cancerous growth. Despite her fit and healthy lifestyle, Davina was stunned by the diagnosis, having gone for a scan confident she’d “ace it”.
Taking to social media, the TV icon shared with her followers: “I was offered a health scan which I thought I was going to ace but it turned out i had benign brain tumour,” before confessing the condition is “very rare”.

In an emotional video posted on Friday (November 15), Davina called on her fans to keep her in their thoughts as she faces the operation. Meanwhile, her pal Michael Douglas will be keeping her social media buzzing while she’s on the mend.
He’s already stepped up to the plate, telling the world that Davina is fighting fit but will be taking a break from the online world until she’s back on her feet. In his own words: “Hey everyone. Michael here. @davinamccall will be “off grid” for a bit while she recovers from this brain operation. She is in great shape and in very good hands.”
He added, “I’ll do the odd update from her account here for anyone interested. I’m sure she’ll read all the comments when she’s able to so feel free to send love [heart emoji]. The support of people is amazingly powerful. Have a great day everyone. Michael xxx.”, reports the Mirror.
Despite her enviably fit appearance, Davina McCall earlier this year confessed to being the target of vicious online trolls over her toned bod. The telly fave hit back at nasty naysayers on Instagram in May after they slated her for being “too skinny” in a video she posted.
She tackled the hateful comments head-on, sharing that the “cruel” words had gotten under her skin, leaving her feeling “frustrated.” In a candid post, Davina spoke out: “I’m a 5ft 6in woman who weighs 61 kilos. I don’t diet. I exercise. I eat relatively healthily and I enjoy sharing that journey with people.”
