Dwayne Johnson has come clean about his toilet habits on the set of his festive film ‘Red One’, admitting he’d relieve himself in bottles to avoid holding up filming.
The 52-year-old WWE legend confirmed his time-saving technique during a GQ video profile, saying: “I pee in a bottle, yeah, that happens.”
Back in April, gossip-hounds first dropped the bombshell allegations, claiming the hard man was often late for filming leaving folks waiting for up to a whopping eight hours and adding a $50m (£39m) to the movie’s budget.
But the muscle-man clapped back at those reports. True, he might have been a tad tardy now and then, but never by that shocking eight-hour margin.
Touching on timekeeping, Dwayne conceded: “Yeah, that happens. But not that amount, by the way. That was a bananas amount. That’s crazy. Ridiculous.”
Meanwhile, Chris Evans, Dwayne’s sidekick in Red One, hinted at the Rock’s notorious early morning pump sessions being the reason for any delay, but insisted that team Johnson always flagged any lateness ahead of time.
The Captain America: The First Avenger’ star said: “It’s not like he’s late unexpectedly, and I wouldn’t even call it late. He comes in slightly later on certain mornings, but it’s part of the plan.
“It’s worked into the schedules and everyone knows it, so he shows up when he’s scheduled to show up.
“In terms of the guy that I saw, compared to some of the stuff you hear about other actors who not only have no regard for other people’s time and efforts but are also unpredictable, let me tell ya, Dwayne was spot on. We could set our watches by him!
Meanwhile, helmsman Jake Kasdan copped to Johnson being “late sometimes”, but was quick to point out the superstar “never missed a day of work ever”.
