Eddie Redmayne turned heads at the 2024 Met Gala, stepping out in a blazer dress that matched his wife Hannah Bagshawe’s ensemble.
The Hollywood A-lister chose a contemporary look for the event held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday. The 42-year-old actor sported a dress with a sheer netted skirt and cut-out panels featuring a waved black pattern.
The outfit ended just above his ankles, revealing a pair of sleek black shoes. He posed alongside Hannah, who donned a strapless dress with a similar pattern, black velvet heels, and a corseted gown that accentuated her slim waist.

The duo first crossed paths back in 2000 at a charity fashion show while studying at Eton College and quickly became close friends. Their romance blossomed in 2012 when Eddie invited Hannah to Florence for a getaway during his Les Miserables shoot, reports the Mirror.

By June 2014, they were engaged and tied the knot in December 2014 at Babington House. The couple are proud parents to two children – their eight year old daughter Iris and six year old son Luke.
The Met Gala, a beacon of fashion’s finest, graced New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on the first Monday in May, as per tradition. The 2024 bash was dubbed Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, with A-listers strutting their stuff in The Garden of Time themed attire.

This year, the co-chairs were Anna Wintour, Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Chris Hemsworth and Bad Bunny. Highlights of the evening saw Kim Kardashian in a biology-defying corset and Zendaya in two dramatic looks.
Pop sensation and businesswoman Rihanna was forced to ditch the event last minute after she fell ill. And fans were left devastated that Met Gala icon Blake Lively wasn’t in attendance either.
