Emmerdale fans ended up in floods of tears after Holly Barton returned from the dead.
The character, played by Sophie Powles, died in 2016 after suffering a heroin overdose. But this week she made a surprise return to ITV soap Emmerdale, appearing in an emotional dream sequence to her mum Moira ( Natalie J Robb).
Moira was having surgery to remove a non-cancerous brain tumour which had been affecting her personality, and when she went under anaesthesia her late daughter appeared to her.
