Fans baffled as TV superstar in Oleksandr Usyk’s corner for Tyson Fury fight in Saudi

Liev Schreiber joined Oleksandr Usyk in the ring for his heavyweight fight against Tyson Fury – much to the confusion of boxing fans.

The TV and Hollywood star, famous for his lead role in TV smash Ray Donovan, the film Spotlight and as the voice of Hard Knocks, is an advocate for Usyk’s homeland Ukraine in their ongoing conflict with Russia.

But fans did not expect to see him as part of Usyk’s entourage on the night he made history by beating the Brit via split decision to become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Schreiber was on hand to walk with Usyk to the ring in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night and stood in his corner before the fight started. He then joined his beautiful wife to watch at ringside.

One fan said: “Why is Liev Schreiber in the ring?” “Sorry has Liev Schreiber beefed up and joined Usyk’s squad?” said another. “If I were in this fight, I’d want Ray Donovan in my corner,” added a third.
