Timothee Chalamet is soaring to new heights with his latest role, and the buzz is real following the release of the first-look trailer for A Complete Unknown. The Hollywood heartthrob is set to portray music legend Bob Dylan, complete with the drama of Dylan’s infamous switch to electric guitar.
The sneak peek dropped on Wednesday, and it’s got everyone talking especially on Reddit, where fans are losing their minds over Timothee’s spot-on depiction of the iconic singer.
One admirer was blown away by his pipes, posting: “Is Chalamet using his real voice? It honestly sounds really good.” Another chimed in, saying: “I could hear hints of Chalamet’s voice in there, so I believe it is real. Which is amazing.”
Somebody else was all praise, writing: “Hell of a vocal performance from Timmy C there, can hang a movie on that alone, but I’m sure he’ll knock the no musical sections out of the park too. He really does not miss”, reports the Mirror.

And yet another fan predicted big things for Timothee’s future: “He’s crafted his career as savily as any young actor I can think of since Leo. If this is a hit, and I really think it will be his stardom is going to be as bright as anyone in Hollywood right now. He’s already got a ton of recognition with the younger audience, but the 45-65 moviegoers are going to gobble this thing up.”
A fifth gushed on social media: “I’m really enjoying watching this crop of 25-35 year old actors really grow into themselves and make interesting projects. Been in the bag for Timmy for a while, but I really think he’s gonna kill this. Very impressed by the singing.”
The flick also stars big names like Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook and Dan Fogler.

At the helm is James Mangold, known for directing hits such as Knight and Day, The Wolverine, and the latest Indiana Jones flick, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
Last year, Timothee charmed audiences with his portrayal of Willy Wonka, and he’s kept the momentum going with his recent role in the Dune sequel as Paul Atreides, which hit cinemas earlier this year.
A Complete Unknown is set to release in UK cinemas in January 2025.
