Matthew Perry’s personal wealth has been shared one year after his sudden death at his home in Los Angeles.
The Friends star died last October at the age of 54 from the devastating effects of ketamine. The Hollywood actor left an eye-watering will with several beneficiaries, according to court records.
His personal wealth has now been valued at a staggering $1.5million (£1.2million) after his passing. It is understood the funds will be going into a trust that is already thought to be worth more than $120million (£94.8million).
The TV favourite established the Alvy Singer Living Trust, which was named after Woody Allen’s famous character in the movie Annie Hall, back in 2009.

Before his death, he chose his father John Perry, mother Suzanne Morrison and his half-sister Caitlin Morrison as his beneficiaries, along with his old ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn. Little is know about the former fashion student who was in a relationship with the 17 Again star between 2003 and 2004 when she was just 19.
New court filings, which have been seen by The U.S Sun and filed in June, show the star’s personal property is worth more than originally expected. The trustee of Perry’s estate, Lisa Ferguson, filed an inventory and appraisal document last month which showed a total balance of $1,596,914.47 (£1.264,868.04).
This money is in addition to what his executors previously added into the living trust. According to The Sun, documents state that he didn’t own any real property in the heart of California at the time of his death.
The publication claims his $6million (£4.7million) Pacific Palisades home where he sadly died is still in Ferguson’s name and has not yet been put on the market. The star was found unresponsive in his hot tub at the property by his assistant.
His PA promptly pulled him out of the water and called 911, but the actor was unable to be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time of his death, renovation work was being carried out on his home, sources told The U.S Sun.
However, another property Perry purchased before his death under his Alvy Singer LLC in the Hollywood Hills recently went on the market for a staggering $5,195,000 (£4,114,803). The late actor has also been renting a three-bedroom home overlooking Beverly Hills for $49,000 (£38,813) a month while his Pacific Palisades property was being renovated.
Perry, who earned millions from his role as Chandler Bing in the American sitcom, created his trust back in 2009. According to The U.S Sun, legal papers stated he did not want any kids who would’ve been entitled to his jaw-dropping fortune.
The actor penned: “I have intentionally omitted from this Will and the Trust any provision for any of my heirs, issue, relatives, or other persons who are not named. I also intentionally do not provide for any stepchildren or foster children that I now have or may later acquire.”
Perry was believed to be single and unmarried at the time of his death and did not have any children. The L.A Country Medical Examiner later determined his cause of death to be the accidental “acute effects of ketamine”.
Other contributing factions included drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine – a drug commonly used to treat opioid use disorder. The medical examiner’s report alleged Perry had been clean for 19 months, but the star was receiving ketamine infusion therapy to treat depression and anxiety.
However, his last treatment was approximately a week before his death. His autopsy showed the amount of ketamine in his system was approximately the same level that would be used during a general anaesthesia.
At the time, the coroner said it was unclear why the drug would still be in his system, because the drug would usually metabolize in the body within a matter of hours. There is now a probe into his death which is being led by the Los Angeles Police Department, with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S Postal Service.
An LAPD spokesperson told The U.S Sun earlier this week: “The department has an open and ongoing investigation into Matthew Perry’s death. There is no further information at this time.”
