James Corden and Ruth Jones have finished writing the script for the last-ever episode of Gavin & Stacey.
The show’s creators, who also star as Smithy and Nessa, made finishing touches on Thursday night.
And they celebrated by popping open some champers with loved ones.

James said: “We all had a glass of champagne and then Ruth and I walked back to her place and we just sat and we had a drink.”
The rest of the cast are set to see the script this weekend.
They include Joanna Page, who plays Stacey, and Rob Brydon, who plays Uncle Bryn.
In a chat on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio UK, James said: “We actually sent the cast a photo on our little chat group saying, ‘We’ve finished our shows and we finished the rewrites and a script will be winding its way to you guys.’
“I guess they’ll get the script, I guess, in the next few days.”
Filming on the special is due to start next month on location in Wales.
It will air on Christmas Day on BBC One and is expected to be the most-watched show over the festive period.
The show first aired in 2007 and has become one of the most successful comedies in TV history.
James is happy he’s getting the chance to give it a good send off.
He said: “It was 10 years between the end of the series and that special, and then this will be five years from the last special to this.
“And that felt like probably the right time to wrap it up. One last ride into the sunset.”
