Gladiators made a triumphant return to TV screens last month in its new home on the BBC – almost a quarter of a century after it was axed by rival broadcaster ITV.
Just as it did in the 1990s, the cast includes several superhuman stars with physiques us mere mortals can only dream of. Whilst the skimpy lycra-clad costumes leave little to the imagination on air, the Gladiators look equally as stunning away from the cameras too.
The stars of the show all appear to be regular users of social media, treating their Instagram followers to updates from their private lives as their newfound fame gathers pace. Just as the likes of Jet (Diane Youdale), Panther (Helen O’Reilly) and Falcon (Bernadette Hunt) did in the original format’s heyday, the girls love showcasing their looks for their drooling fans.
