Gladiators icon makes huge career change alongside wife – but gives nod to show

Gladiators Ace star Warren Furman has left the world of showbiz behind for a holier path.

The star has swapped the limelight for a religious career as he has now been ordained as a vicar. Though Warren, now 51, even has a gladiator helmet on his stole.

Warren, who was once engaged to Katie Price, was ordained alongside his wife Dionne at St Paul’s Cathedral in London and will soon take on a church role in the South Kensington area.

He told The Sun: “I crave that she would know God as I do and realise her identity doesn’t have to be in altering her body or having operations. God loves who she is.”

The star added: “I was absolutely blown away with everything that happened. I couldn’t believe I was standing there next to my wife. It was a magical day for the pair of us. While I was in the TV show, I always put my faith in myself. Now I put my faith in God.

“I’ve gone from TV’s Gladiator to God’s gladiator, while Dionne has gone from flying high as a cabin crew manager with Virgin Atlantic to reaching for the sky in the name of Jesus.”

His two children, Bailey, 20, and Anna, 18, looked on proudly at their parents, as they stood by other family members at the venue.

Warren is set to sport a dog collar for the first time as he starts his new role as vicar at Holy Trinity Brompton in North Kensington.

In other Gladiators news, the cast of BBC’s TV’s Gladiators have been announced as a brand-new headliner for 2025. The stars of the newest generation of the show will be performing live at all three Butlins resorts next year, with breaks starting from £168*.
