Gypsy Rose Blanchard has opened up on her sexuality.
The 32-year-old recently starred in her docuseries Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up and the conversation turned to her experience inside. In the second episode, Gypsy explained: “A big part of womanhood is learning to become comfortable with their sexuality and for years I wasn’t. For a long time I questioned my own sexuality because [when] I was a teenager or a pre-teen, I felt like I was attracted to girls and I got to experiment with that in prison.”

Blanchard then admitted: “I think I’ve kissed more girls than I have guys,” with a giggle. Gypsy was released from prison back in December last year after serving 8 and a half years behind bars for the second-degree murder of her mother back in 2015.
It was found that Blanchard was a victim of Munchausen by proxy syndrome, which is a mental health disorder. A caregiver turns abusive and deliberately causes illness or injury to someone that they are caring for.
Dee Dee claimed that Gypsy was suffering from leukaemia among a whole host of other health conditions. She made her daughter use a feeding tube and take medicines she didn’t need, resulting in the loss of her teeth.
As a way to escape, Gypsy planned to kill her mother Dee Dee with her boyfriend at the time Nicholas Godejohn. He is currently serving a life sentence for first-degree murder.
Blanchard has previously stated that she will “never say” she is glad her mother is dead and admits she “regrets what she did every single day”.
Upon her release, Blanchard has become somewhat of a celebrity and an online figure over on TikTok, where she regularly posts videos about her life. She also teaches her viewers about life in prison and the different recipes and tricks she used to survive.
One of her most popular videos shows Gypsy making a homemade energy drink using sweets, Kool-Aid, fizzy drinks and coffee. Her Instagram now has a whopping 9.8 million followers and Gypsy has appeared on a number of TV shows, including The View, Good Morning America and The Kardashians.
