Helen Skeleton has called out Naga Munchetty’s “fighting talk” after a pointed comment on BBC Breakfast.
The BBC Breakfast star, 49, is no stranger to making cheeky jibes from the iconic red sofa. This time, Naga turned her attentions to Morning Live regular, Helen Skeleton, 40.
On the Thursday’s programme (May 2), Naga and her co-star Charlie Stayt had been joined by some real life CPR heroes who had lunged in to save others who had not been breathing. During the discussion, they chatted about how important it was to learn the life saving skill, along with speaking to those who had been saved.

After the moving and touching segment had finished, viewers were taken to the Morning Live studio to visit Helen and her Scottish co-star Gordon Smart. They normally reveal a sneak preview of what is in store for viewers.
However, before they had a chance to delve into their daily digest, they were given a stark warning. Naga said, surprised: “Helen, and Gordon are in the seat today.”
Before warning them: “You’re going to have a tough job following us because we’ve had life savers on the sofa. So come on, beat that.” Chirping back, Helen told her: “Alright, make of this what you will. Fighting talk so early in the morning.”
It was all said in good spirits though with both presenters having a good giggle about it all. Meanwhile, Morning Live host Gethin Jones left fans concerned for him after he was seen ‘in tears’ while issuing a mental health plea to viewers.
The clip was shared to the official X/ Twitter account of the programme. In the emotional video, the 46-year-old discussed sharing emotions. With his hand over his mouth, he admitted: “It’s a lot.”
He added: “Just having a few tears, just to make myself feel better because I’ve been out and about asking people about crying, cry-maxing. Are you a ‘cry-maxer’? Does crying make you feel good?”
Gethin went on to reveal that research has proved that having a good cry, could make people feel better. He explained the study had found that shedding a tear was a good way to let out stress and emotions.
