Residents of a Welsh village were baffled when Hollywood royalty paid a visit.
The sleepy north Welsh village of Abersoch in Pen Llyn is not used to being put on the map, but locals were stunned when British adventurer Bear Grylls was spotted walking through the area. The Island star was not alone, however, as he was seen with Hollywood A-lister Bradley Cooper.
The pair were in good spirits as they stopped to chat with locals, who were aghast at who was there. A photo was caught of the pair waiting to cross the street, with Bear giving a cheeky smile to the Silver Linings Playbook actor.

Resident Clare Lea caught the moment the pair became red-faced after being recognised as they left a local cafe on the main street in the village. Beaming Bradley was reported to have scoffed down a number of plates at the cafe.
The exact reason for why Bear and Bradley ended up in the small Gwynedd village remains a mystery. However, Bear has previously taken high-profile stars adventuring and testing their endurance and adaptability skills, including actor Warwick Davies former US President Barack Obama.
There may have also been more professional reasons for the collaboration, given Bradley’s success in film. Speaking to North Wales Live, Lea said that he was happy to take his family and friends out for a spot of lunch in the village.
“He was just having a nice quiet lunch with friends and family,” Clare explained. “He had visited the Blades café and cleared away his own plates with Bear, and was very respectful. They chatted away with locals and both didn’t stop smiling and happily shook hands.
Bradley is at the top of his game currently, starring in blockbuster films including A Star is Born, The Hangover and American Sniper. His most recent work, Maestro, was released in 2023 and scooped up a number Oscar nominations – including one for Best Picture, with Bradley himself getting a nod for Best Actor.
Similarly, Bear has been bust gearing up for his new Netflix reality smash Bear Hunt, which is set to kick off next year. The show will be co-hosted by former This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby in her first hosting foray on the streaming service, with filming already getting underway.
