Hollywood icon infuriates fans as he poses in bald cap to ‘support’ co-star with cancer

Full House star John Stamos has riled fans with his bald cap tribute to his co-star who received a cancer diagnosis.

Dave Coulier revealed he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHI) last week and John thought best to pose alongside him in a bald cap in an online snap.

John wrote on Instagram: “Nothing like throwing on a bald cap and flexing some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my bro @dcoulier You’re handling this with so much strength and positivity—it’s inspiring. I know you’re going to get through this, and I’m proud to stand with you every step of the way. I love you (p.s. – @melissacoulier is the most wonderfulest – your true life line!)”

However, fans were quick to jump into the comment section to argue he should’ve actually shaved his hair off to show support rather than simply placing on a cap. One fan wrote: “What a shallow gesture! Couldn’t even cut your hair off for your friend. And you made sure to post it on Instagram to get those likes too.”

A second added: “Hate to be that person but this is more insulting by putting on a bald cap then not shaving ur head. A person with cancer doesn’t have a “cap” they can take off.”

While a third penned: “So he’s not really supporting him. He’s posing for a photo op.” However, some followers were kinder with their words and support the pals.

One typed: “Prayers and strength to Dave!!” While another supported: “Wow. After reading all these comments, if I ever lose my hair NOBODY better shave their damn head to “show” they support me. Please use a bald cap if you want to make me laugh lol.”

While one more shared: “As someone who has had cancer three times I NEVER wanted anyone to shave their head for me. I think this is great and hilarious and I’m sure Dave didn’t really want him to shave his head.”

The Joey Gladstone star on Full House confirmed to the earlier today that he started chemo two weeks into his diagnosis and shaved his head.
