Talk about Frankie started when he returned to TV screens after quitting Hollywood to become a race car driver. But he’s back in showbiz and is taking part in the Australian version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The new series is about to kick off in South Africa, with Frankie being revealed as a campmate with a fresh team of celebrities looking to take on the jungle. He must be keeping himself in fine form as he’s about to take part in the endurance show which is notoriously tough and not for the faint-hearted.
Ahead of his jungle stint, Frankie stepped back into the limelight to tease a possible Malcolm In The Middle reboot. He hinted that it could feature many of the original cast too.
Speaking to PEDESTRIAN, the actor said: “Without giving away too much because there’s nothing confirmed, but it’s the closest it’s ever been to being a reality.” “He added: “I think it’d be a lot of fun to dive into that world and see where everybody is, as adults because really, the possibilities are endless where everybody can be.”
Frankie went on to say: “I’d love to explore it. And I know there are conversations happening.” It isn’t the first time that rumours about a reboot have been in circulation but this time it seems as though many of the cast are keen for it to happen.
The series would celebrate Malcolm In The Middle’s 25th anniversary with a possible season one premiere to take place in January 2025, if reports are correct.
Fans will recall from previous, that the focus of the show normally stemmed around the chaotic antics of Malcolm and his less intelligent accomplices, his four brothers.
Malcolm is an above-average student with an IQ of 165, his abnormal intellect tends to get him into lots of trouble with hilarious consequences. That’s why the programme became a seven-time Emmy-winning comedy and why there is popular demand for its return.
In a conversation with The Daily Telegraph, Frankie previously revealed it had taken some convincing before he’d finally accepted the role. He told the publication: “It was always something that the schedule didn’t work and the show doesn’t air in the US so to be honest, I wasn’t quite sure exactly what it was.”
