Glastonbury Festival has a hidden haven where clothing is only optional.
The gates to the world-famous festival on Worthy Farm have flung open once more, with headliners such as Dua Lipa, Coldplay and Shania Twain taking to the iconic Pyramid Stage. But tucked away from the crowds is a secret spot where revellers can strip off and enjoy a wide range of activities.
Lost Horizon is a popular nudist area that describes itself as a “festival within a festival” offering its visitors a “truly unique” experience. You’ll find it at the southern end of the festival site near the Tipi Field.

The “nomadic spa” has been at Glastonbury for years and features a sauna, a massage parlour, and a cafe. You can expect to be serenaded by naked musicians during your time there, if that’s your thing.
Naked activities last year included yoga, trampolining, body painting and hula hooping. You might be wondering if unsuspecting festival-goers have accidentally stumbled on this nude sanctuary and gotten more than they bargained for.
But no, this “hidden garden oasis” is fenced off from all of the riff-raff. Visitors can purchase a full weekend pass for a small fee.
Nudity isn’t a requirement for entry, so how much you wear is up to you. Organisers say the area is a “clothing optional space”, stressing: “there is never any pressure to wear less than you feel comfortable in, and dressing up or dressing down are both encouraged.”
A statement from Lost Horizons reads: “Unwind and rejuvenate away from the bustle and mayhem. Melt in a hammock, recharge in the sunshine or lounge by the fire in the lodge.
“The luxurious wood-fired yurt sauna is sizzling from 8am – 10pm. Our Solar Stage offers a range of entertainment throughout the day with an assortment of musical styles.
“Hire a fresh clean towel, grab a home-made natural soap, secure your valuables, charge your phone with solar power and book your massage at reception. You’ll find a comfortable yurt for your clothes, a warm and cosy tipi sun lodge, showers, plunge pool, a large garden for sunbathing and beautiful open fires.”
