John Lennon ‘stripped naked at the Playboy mansion’ in front of drunk Cher

Cher’s new memoir includes some seriously cheeky stories.

The songstress has claimed that she once took John Lennon to the Playboy Mansion where he stripped naked in front of her.

In her book Cher: The Memoir, the 78-year-old claimed that she visited the Playboy Mansion with Lennon for a “movie night” as the Beatle had been “dying” to visit the property. Cher said that the mansion was known for “notorious drunken orgies” but Sunday “movie nights” were a different affair.

Cocktails, food and the latest blockbuster films were reportedly shown at Hugh’s pad to close off the week, but on this occasion Cher claimed she got “drunker than I’d thought” while visiting with John.

Cher claimed John stripped off at the mansion

The Believe singer took Lennon to Hugh’s “grotto” and things got a little crazy.

“Giggling and falling over each other, John and Harry followed me out into the grounds. Sitting them down inside the infamous Grotty – it was like a huge cave that one end of the swimming pool went into – I went to find a drink, and when I came back they were standing in the middle of the Grotto naked but still in the water, thank god.”

Cher wrote about Lennon’s escapades in her memoir

Cher said she informed the friends that the look was “not pretty,” to which they threatened to leave the pool while totally naked. The singer says she “tried not to laugh” at the thought of the duo “wandering around the mansion naked”.

“It took me ages to get them back in their clothes. It was like herding drunks,” she joked. This wasn’t the only time Cher visited the Playboy Mansion.

She claims to have regularly visited the venue and her daughter Chastity knew Hefner for her entire life. Hugh bought the mansion back in 1971 and lived there until he died back in 2017.

Hef was 91 when he died and was best known for being the founder and editor-in-chief of Playboy magazine. Alongside his media project, Playboy expanded into the world of clubbing and of course, his famous Playboy mansions.
