Jonathan Ross’ daughter Honey confused why ITV gave her dad major panel job

Jonathan Ross’s daughter, Honey, was gobsmacked when her famous father snagged a spot on a star-studded ITV show.

The 63-year-old TV icon appeared on the judging panel of The Masked Dancer for its two-series run along with Davina McCall, Peter Crouch, Oti Mabuse, and Joel Dommett. The show saw celebs donning disguising and taking to the dancefloor while judges attempting to suss out who they were, reports the Mirror.

But Honey was left surprised at her dad’s involvement in the show. Appearing on the Therapy Crouch podcast with Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch, she quipped: “I have to wonder why they got you in. Not to be rude but you’re not known for your moves.”

The veteran chat show host, who also appeared on sister show The Masked Singer, where celebs are seen belting out tunes behind the masks, replied: “I’m not known for my singing either and then I’m in the Masked Singer as well. The Masked Singer was doing well and they just transplanted us all over really.

“But Pete was there because [he’s] let’s face it, a national hero, a treasure, and a very funny man, a warm and funny man,” Jonathan added.

Abbey, the Strictly Come Dancing winner of 2013, chimed in with a sassy poke: “Should have got me on, I won Strictly for god sake. Frigging hell.”

To which Honey delivered a playful jab in support: “I’m angry on your behalf.”

Abbey Clancy has shared a hilarious insight into family life, revealing her kids think footie legend hubby Peter Crouch is a celeb simply because of his stint on the telly not for his stellar career on the pitch. Chatting about their reaction to ‘The Masked Dancer’, the model said: “The funniest thing about the Masked Dancer is that Pete’s obviously played for England, played for some of the best clubs in the world but our kids think he’s famous because he was a judge on the Masked Dancer because Pete had retired.”

During his heyday, Crouchy notched up more than 700 appearances, sporting the jerseys of top-flight teams such as Liverpool, Spurs and Stoke, before finally hanging up his boots in 2019 after leaving Burnley.
