Katie Price ‘buries head in sand’ over bankruptcy as friends left concerned

Friends and family of Katie Price have expressed their concern for the star’s well-being after she was declared bankrupt.

Model and businesswoman Katie, 45, has been under immense pressure in recent works after the taxman revealed she was bankrupt for a second time. She also has been having financial woes unexpectedly as she tries to find another school to help her disabled son, Harvey.

But now the mum-of-five is in dire straits, and appears to be ignoring the situation by pretending the issue is not there. A close pal of the former glamour model spoke to MailOnline about her money woes, but admitted the Pricey is too proud to do anything about it.

“Watching Katie deteriorate so much is devastating,” the insider told the newspaper. “She just won’t listen to anyone.

The Pricey was declared bankrupt after racking up a huge tax bill worth £750k

“She thinks she knows best and a lot of the time doesn’t appear to worry about things that are really very serious. It doesn’t matter how many times she is told that she needs to address matters such as paying her bills, she buries her head in the sand and carries on.”

The source finished by saying that although her pals get frustrated with her stubbornness, her loved ones are becoming more and more concerned for her well-being. They added that there have been discussions about the possibility of the worst coming to fruition.

“It has got to the point where some fear that at any point they could get a phone call to say that something awful and tragic has happened,” the source explained. “It is heartbreaking.”

Katie’s financial problems were blown open after the taxman demanded the businesswoman pay back an unpaid bill of £750k. As a result, she now could be made homeless as she faces losing her lavish £2million pad, as bailiffs threaten to come and repossess her belongings to pay back the debt.

This is not the first time that Katie has been declared bankrupt, as she was pulled up on debts amounting to over £3.2m in November of 2019. Her current issues with making ends meet, however, come as she has been told she needs to find a new school for her son Harvey.

In an episode of the Katie Price Podcast, she said that she was “having a nightmare”, due to the local authority not giving the go-ahead for Harvey to attend his college. The pressure is on for the star, who has three months to try and find her son a new school to go, but Katie criticised the council for pushing them to go fast.

Harvey, who suffers from a number of different conditions including ADHD, Prader-Willi syndrome and autism, requires special treatment and educational needs. “I’m trying to find somewhere nearer or something for Harvey but three months isn’t a long time,” mum Katie explained to sister Sophie.
