Katie Price snuggles up to pet ‘babies’ as fans fume over new family additions

Katie Price was snuggling up to her new family additions after facing more backlash.

The 46-year-old reality star and former glamour model recently splashed out £2k on two more rare sphynx cats. She is now the proud owner of five of the hairless cats, including Dobby, Hagrid and Daisy.

She bought Daisy in September and reportedly tried to sell Dobby and Hagrid in 2017 as they weren’t getting on with her dogs. But it seems she now fancies herself a cat mum, and she’s come under fire for buying the kittens as several of her pets have died under care.

Thousands have signed a petition with £5,000 has been offered to the star to stop her from owning pets. She revealed the RSPCA visited her Mucky Mansion but had “no concerns” about her animals, following reports she’d been reported to the animal charity.

And on Monday night (November 11) she was seen cuddling up to her cat family in bed with her boyfriend, Married at First Sight star JJ Slater. In a sweet clip, she said: “All the babies… watching telly.”

Katie has sparked concerns over the years as she’s announced the deaths of five of her dogs, a horse and a chameleon. In her memoir, This Is Me, she revealed she had to put her sphynx cat – Frog – to sleep as he’d developed a neurological disease that was incurable.

She wrote: “He had a neurological disease. There was absolutely nothing I could do.

“Within days it had spread through his body right to the point that he couldn’t even go to the toilet on his own,’ she detailed. ‘So I cuddled him in my arms and he had to be put to sleep. He was only five months old.”

Animal charity PETA has slammed the star following the animal deaths. PETA boss Ingrid Newkirk, told The Sun: “If there was a way to file an injunction to stop this serial animal killer, PETA would do so.”

She added, insisting on their standing offer: “PETA’s financial offer – of £5,000 if she agrees never to acquire any more animals – still stands, and we implore her to take us up on it.”
