“Kerry has turned a corner after her heartbreak and has decided next year is all about work and making her children fully financially secure for the future,” the insider said. “She is in talks for many work projects and has already signed off three in the last week.
“She’ll make six figures, easily,” the source added. “She has used the pain and the heartbreak as power and is ready to concentrate on her career and to make a better future for herself and her children.”
Cheshire icon Kerry is a doting mum to five children – Molly, 23, Lilly-Sue, 21, Heidi, 17, Max, 15, and DJ, nine. All five are from previous relationships, but Kerry has made sure that they come first in her endeavours so she can support them as and when it is needed.
Last month, the columnist revealed in her slot on OK! magazine that she had called time on her relationship with fiancé Ryan Mahoney over what she described was “a breach of trust”. Writing in her column, the star explained: “Last week I spoke about how Ryan and I were having a tough time and now he has moved out of the house.
“We are no longer together and it’s been a really tough week – I never in a million years thought this would happen. Without going into too much detail, there has been a breach of trust between us.”
Kerry went on to say that perhaps the couple would be able to work things through, but she does continue to love him. She added that the pressures of trying to maintain the failing relationship, as well as looking after her ailing mother – alongside her own children – have left her “really struggling”.
Following on from her separation, the star addressed fans on the situation, confessing she had gone to therapy – which was hosted by Nik and Eva Speakman. Speaking about the experience afterwards, she said: “I feel so validated… not validated, just they are so insightful.”
