Loose Women star GK Barry has revealed she was left “hysterical” next to a Girls Aloud member after “no one warned her”.
The new ITV sign-up, 25, attended last year’s Pride of Britain Awards – which are infamously known to be quite the tear-jerker. It was the TikTok sensation’s first time at the event and she didn’t quite prepare for the emotional nature of the evening.
Talking about the event, she exclusively said: “Well, no one really warned me about it last year, so I went in a few wines deep, almost hysterically crying on my table next to Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud.

“But I’ve got a plan as to what I’m going to do this year because I was on the judging panel, and I helped pick some of the winners, I know what to expect, so I’m gonna just slowly ease into the wine instead this year.”

The awards are back for another year but this time for their 25th Anniversary celebrations which will take place on Monday 21st October. Podcast star and Pride of Britain judge GK Barry will be raising the shutters at GK’s bar, London’s most exclusive destination, right on the red carpet. The awards’ newest landlady will be shooting the breeze with stars and winners over a cocktail or a mocktail on the night.

Talking about who she is excited to see on the red carpet, Grace said: “I’m looking forward to bumping into Zara, Pete and Sam, then Scarlet Moffatt, she is always a bundle of joy, oh and Vicky Pattison.
“Everyone with big, bubbly personalities, I can’t wait to see it again, because they really bring it. And also, it doesn’t matter what question I ask them, they will always answer it.”

The TV star also revealed she has been “fangirling” over Pride of Britain host Carol Vorderman and is “obsessed” with her. She added: “That woman I am obsessed. I love her so much. And she’s so nice as well, which doesn’t help, because she’s just an all rounder.
“I can’t wait to see her because she always looks amazing as well, especially at Pride of Britain. So yeah, I’m absolutely buzzing.”
