Lorraine Kelly appeared on BBC’s The Graham Norton Show when Jodie Foster confessed she didn’t remember being interviewed by her.
Talking to the Scottish star on his sofa, Graham asked: “Lorraine, this is odd because I rarely have a host on the couch. Have you interviewed any of these ladies before?”
Lorraine, who hosts on ITV each weekday from 9am, nodded and told Graham: “I have…Jodie.” The Oscar-winning actress was surprised and responded: “Really?”
The ITV favourite handled the situation with grace, saying: “It was memorable for me. That’s OK.”
Lorraine handled the situation incredibly graciously and was praised for her impeccable manners and good sportsmanship online by BBC viewers. Fans on Twitter praised Lorraine’s appearance on the show, with one saying: “Can Lorraine Kelly be on the Graham Norton show every week.”
Another added: “I love how Lorraine Kelly can take the p*** out of herself and not take herself too seriously. She’s a national treasure.”
“Lorraine was a great addition to Graham’s sofa,” agreed another. Lorraine has credited Sir David Attenborough for the existence of her debut novel The Island Swimmer and told Graham: “The wi-fi was terrible, so I went to the anti-poaching station to use theirs.”
“They were a bit reluctant until I showed them a picture on my phone of me and David Attenborough. “They were like, ‘Oh my God, you’ve met him?’.
“Of course, he’s like a god there so I got the wi-fi. The book is here because of David Attenborough.” Lorraine added with a laugh: “He doesn’t know, or indeed care, I am sure.”
