Love Island star Joshua Ritchie has told how he was left in pain after a car crash.
The 30-year-old star was with his girlfriend Sophie Piper – who he met on the All Stars series of the ITV dating show – when he was hurt in the accident. The pair had been on their way to a friend’s party together when their cab was apparently in a collision.
Joshua told fans about it on Snapchat, revealing his neck was left a little sore after the bump. He also shared an image from the scene.

“We’ve just f****** crashed in the taxi,” Joshua said. He then checked on Sophie, who is the younger sister of This Morning beauty Rochelle Humes, but she seemed to be fine. Ex On The Beach star Joshua went on: “Oh my neck, f****** hell that hurt that. Jesus!”
His image of the crash seemed to show the bumpers of two cars touching. “As if,” said Joshua. “Look at that!”
Josh, 30, and Sophie were both contestants on Love Island: All Stars this year and their romance has continued to blossom after the reality show. Earlier this summer, Sophie told the Mirror that the pair were in a “love bubble” and revealed that they might even move in together in the future.
“[We’re] really good, really good,” she said. “Yeah, we’re just in a bit of a love bubble at the moment. It’s nice being on the outside world and obviously getting to do normal life with each other.”
Sophie, 25, said that although the couple technically lived together when they were in the Love Island villa, they didn’t want to rush things when it came to taking that step in the real world. She said that, for now, they were focused on enjoying themselves and their new relationship.
“We know what it’s like, so we do obviously want to, but it was like, ‘Let’s just enjoy summer – enjoy our time just having fun’,” she explained. “And yeah we can look at maybe moving in together later on in the year,” Sophie added. “No rush.”
Josh was on the first ever series of Love Island in 2015, and Sophie’s first stint in the villa was in 2020. They both returned for All Stars in January this year and finished third.
