Love Island star confirms she ‘knows’ who attacked her during ‘horrific’ spiking incident

Love Island star Jessie Wynter confirms she knew who was behind her traumatic spiking incident.

The Aussie star was on holiday in the US with her co-star boyfriend Will Young when she was the target of a drink spike. Jessie woke up in hospital having no idea what had happened to her and claims she was “lucky” to have her partner there.

Talking exclusively to the Daily Star, she confirmed she knew who her attackers were after they tried to loiter around the couple earlier in the evening. Jessie said: “We were in Chicago and these men pulled over in a car. There was a car full of people say a few men and a couple of women.

“And then they followed us into the arcade and they kept insisting about buying myself and my boyfriend a drink. And my boyfriend said, ‘No, thank you’. We went to the bar and actually purchased our own just so they couldn’t keep trying to force us to have a drink.”

Jessie was sent to hospital

“My boyfriend went to go to the toilet and the girls that were with the group came over and spoke to me and I might’ve put my drink down. My boyfriend came back, we continued to play basketball for a bit and I had a sip of my drink. Then we decided to leave because they were just hovering around us for a long time.”

The rest of the evening is just a blur for Jessie and comes from the recollection her boyfriend Will told her. She continued: “At dinner, I just started to slowly seem to become more intoxicated, and I stood up to go to the bathroom. I was very unbalanced. When I got to the bathroom. I started to stumble and fall.

She was left traumatised

“A group of girls helped me there and they actually went and got my boyfriend. He came into the female bathroom and was holding my head up. Because from that point I couldn’t get up.

“Then I just started to get in a worse and worse condition and then the ambulance were called. I came out to the ambulance and the first thing they said to me was ‘Are you sure she’s not just drunk?’

“My boyfriend was very persistent and adamant and said ‘Something’s not right.’ On the way to the hospital, I passed out and it was just a terrifying experience for myself and my boyfriend.

“Will actually saw multiple other girls coming in that evening in the same condition. The nurse said that we all had the same substance in our system. I’m really lucky though as if I had too much you know it could have been fatal.”
