Love Island fans are convinced there is something more to Joey Essex and his former flame Grace Jackson as they seem to think they planned on coming into the villa at the same time.
Joey’s head was completely spun when blonde bombshell Grace walked into the villa last week. Despite being in a couple with Samantha Kenny, Joey’s former situation with Grace left him spellbound.
On Monday’s show (June 17), after being chosen to spend a night away Grace, Joey was clearly smitten with leaving Samantha in complete distress. And after Joey and Samantha shared a number of intimate kisses, it was clear Joey had strong feelings for Grace.

But fans have speculated that Joey and Grace’s connection could have already been planned before they came on to the popular dating programme. Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter fans shared their suspicions.
One viewer said: “I’m sorry I refuse to believe this Joey & Grace thing isn’t pre-planned! She literally said they left it quite frosty and all it took was for him to say ‘I didn’t mean to’ to end up back in her bed?!”
Another fan seemed to think Joey and Grace’s plot is “ruining” the programme. They said: “Easy way to lose viewers is this boring Joey/grace narrative. He was messaging her a couple of months ago. They both would have known then they were going in the villa. It’s ruining the show.”
A third chimed: “If Joey and Grace have been able to rekindle things this quickly and easily why didn’t they just do it on the outside? it’s giving planned.”
While a fourth added: “It’s so obvious Grace and Joey planned this reunion of theirs and I’m so upset for Samantha because she’s getting hurt in the process; I wish producers would stop promoting and enabling this kind of stuff.”
At the end of Monday’s (June 17) episode, Joey appeared to issue another fatal blow. As he snuggled up to Grace, he told her that the seductive Hideaway would be the best place to spend the night privately.
After telling Harriet about his plan, they headed off for a night in the Hideaway alone during Tuesday’s (June 18) episode leaving Harriet in bed alone.
Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
