An insider revealed: “Strictly always delivers when it comes to their musical performances and tomorrow night is Snow Patrol.

The sources added: “Fans will have to wait and see what it looks like on Sunday but it’s gearing up to be really special.”

Meanwhile, BBC presenter Nick Knowles’ future on Strictly was confirmed this evening, reports the Mirror. The DIY SOS star is set to make a triumphant return to the show, according to an announcement by BBC bosses.

A BBC Spokesperson stated: “We are all delighted that Nick Knowles and Luba Mushtuk will be dancing in this Saturday’s show. Nick has been cleared to dance by the medical and physio teams following his injury last week. Due to time taken out of training this week, they will be performing their Movies Week Charleston to Rain On The Roof from Paddington 2.”

TV’s favourite builder Nick Knowles was forced to sit out of Strictly Come Dancing’s glitzy Movie Week after suffering a “quite painful” injury during Friday’s rehearsal that left him hobbling on crutches.

The DIY SOS star, gutted about missing the Saturday night special, still donned his suit and showed spirit by supporting the celeb dancers from home. Posting a pic on Twitter while watching the show, Nick lamented: “Gutted not to be out there with everyone tonight on the @bbcstrictly dance floor, but still suited up and cheering them on from the sofa.”

Fans and co-stars alike sent their best as Movie Week unfolded, with Claudia Winkleman giving Nick a special mention: “Nick we are sending you love and wishing you a speedy recovery.”

Partnered with Luba Mushtuk, Nick was prepared to impress with a Charleston routine to ‘Rain On The Roof’ from Paddington 2.

In a stroke of luck with Strictly rules, Nick and Luba were given a pass to next week’s show. However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing speaking on Strictly: It Takes Two, Nick divulged he needed an MRI after the mishap: “During our first dress rehearsal today, or run-through of the dance number on the stage, unfortunately I damaged my knee and it’s quite painful. So the physios have decided I need to go for a MRI.”
