Love Island’s Maura Higgins has confessed to shedding tears during a romantic night out with her beau Pete Wicks. The 33-year-old reality star, who is rumoured to be dating the 36-year-old TOWIE heartthrob and current Strictly Come Dancing contestant since last month, was spotted enjoying a cosy evening with him on Monday.
Maura, who is expected to jet off to Australia soon for a surprise entry into ITV’s hit show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, looked stunning in a layered white minidress and sleeveless velvet jacket. However, she revealed that their date night was filled with tears – but not because she’ll have to bid farewell to Pete for her Australian adventure.
On Tuesday, the Love Island stunner shared on Instagram that they spent the evening at the London Palladium, watching the renowned Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi, which left her overwhelmed with emotion.

Later on, she couldn’t help but gush, declaring: “I am in awe of him.” Meanwhile, Pete opted for a purple look in a suave suit combo, although he’s kept quiet about the theatrical experience on his own socials. Over the weekend, the TOWIE celeb had Strictly buffs reaching for the tissues as he poured his heart out about his beloved late grandmother, Doreen.

After dedicating his couples choice routine to her memory, a visibly moved Pete, standing next to his dance partner Jowita Przystał, admitted: “I would rather go and spend time with my nan than go out with the boys… I feel more pressure this week than any other. This is my way of her being part of that adventure… Been a tough week, but the one person I wish was here is my nan and she’s not so it’s the one way for her being here.”
Pete Wicks’ emotional performance on Strictly Come Dancing left fans reaching for the tissues, as they took to social media to praise his moving dance. One fan gushed: “Pete Wicks has just had his breakthrough moment on #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing. A beautiful dance that really meant something. The emotion was authentic and it really showed how far Pete has come in this competition. I just want to hug him! That was gorgeous! ” Meanwhile, another viewer captured the sentiment with a simple comment: “Pete trying not to cry.”
