Wendell, who played Meghan’s dad on the telly show Suits, has told everyone what he said to Meghan after they finished shooting her last scenes. The Mirror Online reports that he said to her: “Meghan, your life is going to change, and you’re going to be in a bubble, but just always remember, no matter what, I’m your friend – you have lots of friends.”
In a sneak peek of the chat show Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?, which People magazine got hold of, Wendell also mentioned he told Meghan that her mates are “always thinking about you”. He wanted her to know that she’s got a buddy in him, no matter where she ends up.
He even said that Meghan is the “nicest person ever”. It’s not been a walk in the park for Meghan and Harry since they got hitched.
They’ve had a bit of a tough time with the Royal Family after they decided to quit their Royal jobs in 2020, and there’s been a fair few sticky situations they’ve found themselves in.
Pierce mentioned that the spotlight on famous people is “one of those things that sometimes you can’t control”, but hinted Meghan and Harry should “rely on love” to back each other up. He encouraged Meghan to do what’s best for her family and “let that be your guiding light”.
Meghan and Harry tied the knot at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May 2018, with the late Queen Elizabeth II giving them the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Thousands of fans filled the streets to see the joyful pair.
Chatting about the lead up to the big day, Meghan said she was in a “really calm space”. Speaking on hers and Harry’s Netflix docuseries, she confessed: “I don’t know how I was so calm. All I wanted was a mimosa, a croissant and play the song ‘Going to the Chapel’.”
