Spice Girls star Mel B is reportedly set to join Holly Willoughby on her new TV venture with Bear Grylls.
Former This Morning host Holly is heading out to Costa Rica to film a new Netflix reality survival series with Bear, which has a working title of Bear Hunt. The streaming giant has already budgeted £10million for the programme, with a further £1m being dished out to provide security for the stars.
Now, it appears Scary Spice will be joining them after it was claimed she has signed a “six-figure” fee to be a part of the show too. Filming is expected to take begin in May, however, viewers are unlikely to see the finished product until January 2025.

Mel is reportedly going to use the cash she earns from the show to fund her wedding to Rory McPhee, which will take place at St Paul’s Cathedral in London. Mel is permitted to wed at the prestigious landmark due to her award of an MBE.
Last week details emerged of Holly’s salary for the series, which will apparently see her pocket £1m. The leak left the mum-of-three feeling “very betrayed”, whilst Netflix were also said to be “very upset”.
A source told Heat of the leak: “Just as Holly thought everything was getting back on track, she feels very betrayed again over the stories about Netflix being upset over her wages being made public. This is such a big deal for her and she wants to do more work for them, so the last thing she would want to do is burn her bridges so early.”
They continued: “It’s embarrassing and upsetting that a story like this has come out when she wants to be trusted and seen as a big asset to Netflix. She’s not one to discuss money and is always professional.”
It came after an insider told the Sun that Netflix is doing everything it can to protect their celebrity stars. “Keeping Holly and everyone fully protected is the priority,” they explained. “That means hiring specialist teams of guards, many of whom will be ex-military and special forces experts.
“They’ll also need specialist vehicles, safe accommodation and a secure location in which to film. That won’t be straightforward or cheap in a country which has a very luxurious tourist trade combined with a dangerous underbelly.”
Announcing the show earlier this year, meanwhile, Netflix revealed: “Bear believes there’s an action hero inside us all – even the celebs – but how strong is their will to survive? As Bear puts them through their paces, those who fail to impress will face the dreaded ‘Bear Hunt’ – a brutal game of cat and mouse where they’ll be hunted down and, if captured, eliminated from the show.”
