The Miss Universe models have touched down in Mexico with one contestant disqualified already.

More than 100 nations from around the world will be represented in the competition, which will be taking place on November 16. Competitors looking to walk away with the title will be selected through events including personal statements, in-depth interviews, and evening gown and swimsuit competitions. The evening will culminate with the crowning of the 72nd Miss Universe’s successor, Sheynnis Palacios. However, one nation that won’t be able to claim its second crown is Panama.

Miss Panama contestant, Italy Mora, was sent packing from the 2024 competition by officials for leaving the hotel without consent from the Miss Universe Organisation.
