As well as starring as the show’s lead, Bateman also worked as a director and an executive producer for the show. The official Netflix description reads: “A financial adviser drags his family from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks, where he must launder $500 million in five years to appease a drug boss.”

Bateman won an Emmy award for his directing efforts while Garner won three for Outstanding Supporting Actress. Overall, Ozark has received positive reviews with huge praise for the actor’s performances.

Elsewhere in Netflix news, the streamer’s newest horror flick has had the internet divided since its release. Many streamers are totally polarised over Under Paris, a creature feature film about a shark in the Seine river in France.

Arguments have broken out across the internet as some Netflix users think the film is “10/10,” while others branded it “cliche and boring”. In the Netflix Bangers group, many horror fans gathered to discuss the movie.

One disappointed horror fan wrote: “I was actually liking it until the end and it’s one of the worst endings I’ve ever seen!” Another said: “Was ok. Not Jaws but watchable after [a] bottle [of] wine.”
