Netflix fans are raging at the movie streaming service.
In the Netflix Bangers group on Facebook, many gathered to discuss the series 1899 as one person wrote: “Netflix should never have cancelled this series.” Streamers rushed to agree in the comment section: “I thought this was so good but the ending could [have] been better and would [have] loved more episodes.”
“They always take the good ones away,” wrote one disappointed Netflix user while another said: “I hope they don’t do the same thing to Supacell.” Others said they are “waiting for the second series” while one person speculated that Netflix “didn’t even give it a chance”.

“Hugely expensive to make and totally underperformed despite huge promotion. Lots of viewers bailed before the end of the season which means that they almost certainly wouldn’t watch a second season either,” raged someone else.
More comments followed: “Amazing series! It deserved another season,” a second read: “It lost direction,” and a third quipped: “Exactly. Netflix always does this! Annoying.”
“The good stuff gets cancelled but all the ridiculous romance sh*t gets season after season after season,” said someone else with a vomiting emoji to boot. 1899 is a mystery sci-fi series released on Netflix back in 2022.
Emily Beecham stars alongside Andreas Pietschmann, Aneurin Barnard, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Miguel Bernardeau, Clara Rosager, Machiej Musiał, Isabella Wei, José Pimentāo, Fflyn Edwards and Maria Erwolter among other actors in the huge ensemble cast.
“When mysterious events change the course of an immigrant ship headed for New York in 1899, a mind-bending riddle unfolds for its bewildered passengers,” reads the official Netflix description.
The multi-lingual German period series is set in 1899 and follows a group of European emigrants travelling from Southampton in the UK to New York City, all on board a huge steamship named Kerberos.
Elsewhere in Netflix news, streamers are not very impressed with Eddie Murphy’s newest project. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F was recently released on Netflix and some users are saying that the film is the “worst movie of the year”.
“Was kind of boring, should have left the classic alone,” scathed a furious movie lover. Another comment fumed: “Aye, I[‘ve] only seen 20 mins of it and I’m ready to finish.”
